Sephora Australia Haul!

Hello! I finally faced the crowds at the new and very first Sephora store in Australia, Sydney and picked up a few little treats for myself. Sephora here doesn't have a huge range of brands or products suitable for vegans and as it was super busy/they don't have an online website so far, I wasn't able to check much out so I stuck to what I knew!

The first stand I went to was Cover Fx - a brand that offers a range of vegan products (bar a few lip products that contain beeswax or carmine) and it was amazing being able to test out each shade of foundation and concealer and not having to guess from online pictures! I picked up the Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation in the shade "N10" and I'll be posting a full review after I've tested this out properly.

Next I spotted the Becca stand and could not stop myself from purchasing this once I swatched it - the picture doesn't even do it justice at all, the Shimmering Skin Perfector in "Moonstone" is the most beautiful, creamy and soft highlighter and I can't wait to use it to make my skin glow!

Lastly and my favourite purchases were from OCC! I picked up three lip tars in the shades "NSFW" "Psycho" and "Queen" - being able to test these in a store rather than scrolling through the internet looking at swatches was so much better and I'm surprised I was able to control myself from buying anymore. A little bit goes a long, long way with these and I'm excited to use my new shades!

Another purchase from OCC was four lip pencils in the shades Anime, Grandma, NSFW and feathered. Reently I've been loving just filling in my entire lips with a pencil and adding a little bit of lip balm on top and these would be perfect for this as they're super pigmented and soft to apply. They can be used underneath their matching lip tar or another suitable lipstick or just to outline your lip line to create full, pigmented lips without any feathering!

It was really fun being able to test and try the makeup in Sephora and even though they don't have much that I would be able to use, it was also fun just exploring and looking at it all. I most likely wouldn't visit Sephora again however unless I wanted to swatch more of the OCC lip products or they created a website so it was easier for me to see what was vegan and what wasn't - I did have an awesome day though!

Are there any brands or products I didn't pick up that you love and have you visited Sephora in Australia yet?! xo

Mini Review: E.L.F Studio Blush Palette in Light!

Hello, hello! Merry Christmas! I thought what better way to get back into blogging than to share a super affordable and super lovely product with you - a blush palette! Blush is one of my all time favourite beauty products to own and use, I love bold cheeks and it can change any makeup look to brighten your complexion and make your skin glow and shine!

If you read my previous favourites post - you know I've been loving the absolute hell out of my Lime Lily blush palette but as this has a lot more pink-ish shades rather than coral - I've been loving it too especially because of the nice summer weather here! (also it's a fraction of the price so you definitely can't go wrong!)

There's four shades in the palette and it comes with a massive mirror as well. The shades are separate from ELF's regular single shade blushes and the formulation seems to be different too, there's three matte shades and one with a slight glitter that mostly disappears once applied. (not that I'm complaining!)

I've seen mixed reviews about these but all I can say is that I love mine! I don't find the shades to be chalky at all, they're pigmented, creamy and blend smoothly onto my cheeks. There's two different palettes "light" and "dark" and I think both palettes would suit a variety of skin tones, be perfect to travel with and of course, very kind to your wallet after the big Christmas holidays!

I purchased them from Ebay in Australia as they aren't available on the ELF website yet and I've seen them at a few Kmart stores! xo

Dose Of Colors - Matte Lipsticks!

Hello friends! I'm sure by now you can tell lipstick is my thing (and by thing, I mean something I spend a ridiculous amount of money on even if I have the same shade and finish from 10 other brands) so once I saw Dose Of Colors had released four matte lipsticks, I was typing in my details faster than the website could load.

Dose Of Colors is a brand that gets a lot of attention from beauty bloggers/youtubers and the best part is that all their lipsticks/lip glosses are cruelty free and vegan! I have a few of the original lipsticks that I'm sure I'll review sometime for you but today let's focus on these.

I got all four colours including a (very scary) purple!

Let's start with Kiss Of Fire that was featured in my monthly favourites and one I've been wearing constantly since I got these, nice orangey red that has a hint of red in different lighting. I've worn this both with and without a lip liner and had no issues with feathering or smudging!

Second is Merlot, a slightly deeper red shade which could have been a lot darker because there isn't that much difference between the two reds although, you definitely can't go wrong with good, long lasting reds so I'm not complaining that much!

Next is Berry Me, which completely surprised me how much I ended up liking it as it's super far away from my usual shades I enjoy but I love it and especially if you're somewhere that it's getting colder, I think it would be perfect!

Lastly is Purple Rain, one you'll most likely never see me wearing out of my own home as it's completely out of my comfort zone (and I don't think it looks flattering on me) but if you're into these, it's really pigmented and just as nice formula wise as the others!

All shades are super smooth and pigmented, they apply evenly and dry to a matte texture without being overly drying or cracking the lips. They are definitely long lasting however I don't find them to last as long as the Aromi Beauty liquid lipsticks through eating or drinking but I actually like these better because they don't feel as heavy and apply a lot more easily without smudging!

If there's any vegan lipsticks, you think I should try out or want to see a review on, definitely let me know!

As always, thank you for reading! XO

September Beauty Favourites!

Hello friends! I know we're already way into the month of October but I have a few favourite products that I just had to share with you, most are new to me items and even brands I've only just found out about so here we go!

Oh Deer Sugar - Watermelon & Chia Body Scrub | $12.00
Let's start with this very delicious smelling product first! Oh Deer Sugar is a brand that I stumbled on recently and couldn't wait to try. They are an Australian company with a range of body butters, face masks, body scrubs and bath bombs and it's all completely vegan. I picked up this scent and have been absolutely loving it, it really exfoliates my skin without being too rough or leaving it feeling "gritty" like other body scrubs I've used before and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth afterwards. I can't wait to try more from the brand especially with how cute the packaging is!

Zoeva Luxe Cream Lipsticks - Shade: Floral Crown | $12.25
Now I've heard all about the Zoeva makeup brushes and decided to check out their website only to find they had vegan lipsticks and of course, couldn't control myself. I bought 3 out of the 6 shades with this beautiful pink being my favourite! They are all super rich, creamy, pigmented and wear so nicely on the lips. A full review on them all will be up soon for you!

Dose Of Colors Matte Lipstick - Shade: Kiss Of Fire | $18.00
Dose Of Colors released 4 liquid to matte lipsticks and you know I snatched them up ASAP, I love this shade and the forumla is so nice! It glides on smoothly, dries to a beautiful matte and doesn't leave them dry or cracked looking. I think I like this formula even more than the Aromi Beauty liquid lipsticks and that's definitely saying something!

My Daughter Fragrances - Scent: "Joyful" | $85.00
This was actually gifted to me very kindly by my mama and I loooooove the scent. I've only been using it for a couple days and already have had compliments from friends and family how nice it smells! It's described as "a fragrant love letter of orange flower, lime blossom, rose, jasmine and creamy sandalwood" and it smells so fresh and perfect for spring. Vegan perfume is one thing I've struggled with hard so finding brands like this makes me extremely excited!

Innoxa Hydrating Creme Cleanser | $18.00
After absolutely loving the Day & Night Creme that I posted about here, I decided to try out more from the line and picked up this cleanser. It's so creamy and really cleans my skin but still leaves it moisturized and smooth. Perfect for dry skin and even better when used with the matching exfoliator and day & night cream!

Limelily 6 Pan Blush Palette | $59.00
My absolute favourite purchase in a long time. I picked up this palette from veganbeauty.com.au and I could not be happier, all shades are soft, smooth, pigmented and blend AMAZINGLY. They can be worn on their own or I've been mixing a few shades together and I honestly can't get over how good they look when applied! Easy to travel with and 100% worth the money.

And that's all! I hope you enjoyed reading a few of my favourite things, I would love to hear some of yours!

As always, thank you for reading! XO

Shanghai Suzy - 2014 Spring/Summer Range!

Hello friends! If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen I picked up a few new shades from the Summer/Spring collection of my absolute favourite brand of lipsticks: Shanghai Suzy and of course have been utterly impressed with every single one of them.

I'm sure you've all seen me rave about these lipsticks before but if you haven't, I'll give you a small run down: pigmented, creamy, long lasting, completely vegan, non-drying, mostly matte, smell like grape bubblegum and super cheap! For $12.95 a piece, I don't think you could ever ask or want more from a lipstick.

I picked up 4 shades in Pink Blush (soft wearable pink), Foxy Hibiscus (red with pink undertones) Neon Guava (bright, bright pinky red) and Electric Flamingo (neon pink) - I couldn't even tell you which one is my favourite because I love them all and they're all great pops of colour for the warm weather!

I absolutely love these lipsticks and have never been disappointed with any shade! Which is your favourite?

Review & Swatches: Too Faced Melted Lipsticks

Hello lovely friends! I have four shades of Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks to review and swatch for you, the formula is one of my new favourites and I've been reaching for them a lot these past two months, I recently did a post about a few other Too Faced products that I own that you can read all about here!

As I said in the previous post, these are suppose to be a liquid lipstick/stain/gloss hybrid and the formulation is amazing, I don't have any other product like this that is on the same page as them! They come in ten different shades and I have four, Melted Ruby, Melted Fuchsia, Melted Coral and Melted Peony that are all extremely pigmented, apply smoothly and evenly and last so long on the lips!

Melted Ruby - is an intense, rich red with pink undertones and it's one of my favourites out of the four. I love how much fuller it makes my lips appear and even though I usually prefer a matte red lip, I've been reaching for this over anything else!

Melted Fuchsia - the name describes itself. A bright, bright pink with blue undertones and a nice glossy finish that leaves you with a nice pink stain long after it's faded.

Melted Coral - this shade is intense (and a lot brighter in real life!) and I find it leans more orange than the softer coral it appears to be and don't get me wrong, I love this product and shade but this is probably my least favourite out of them all as I can't pull it off very often! still nice though.

Melted Peony - this is a soft nude pink shade and usually I have trouble wearing anything like this but I am absolutely in love with this! I think it could be possibly my favourite of them all as it's different to what I would usually pick for myself and it doesn't make me look dead! Love love love.

Overall, I love these lipsticks and I can't find a single thing to really complain about, the only negative I can find is the applicator for some of the deeper shades might be a bit difficult to create an even line but I haven't had any trouble so far and I'm keen to pick up more of the range!

As always, thank you for reading! XO

Vegan Friendly Products: Too Faced!

Hello friends! I'm sure everybody and their mother has heard about the brand Too Faced but I'm not sure if everyone knows how many lovely vegan products they have to offer so today I'm going to share a few I own and my opinions on them!

I make sure to email every cruelty free brand that has a few vegan products to let them know why I've chosen/use those specific items as I find it helps show there's a massive market out there for purely vegan make up and I feel a brand may be more inclined to create more vegan suitable products/even try and minimize the non-vegan ones they have. (I can only hope that is the case!)

Anyway, on to the products, some are quite old (you can definitely tell by the packaging) and some are super recent!

Tinted Beauty Balm | Shade: Snow Glow
This is one of the first products I ever tried from TF and I'm 99% sure it appeared in a favourites post back then too! It's a tinted BB cream, relatively sheer but still with a kick of coverage to calm any redness and make me look a little more alive. It can be worn on it's own or I've used it under a light-medium foundation to add extra coverage. Perfect for days where you can't be bothered with a heavy foundation and want something light and easy to wear.

Chocolate Soleil Bronzer | Shade: Milk Chocolate
Another one I've had for a long time is this bronzer! It comes in two different shades and I have the one aimed at lighter skin. Contouring/bronzing has never been something I'm good at but I've been using this quite a lot more recently and loving it especially because it's winter and I think my face needs a little warming up, I don't find it to be too orange but use a light hand because it can turn a little muddy if you use too much!

La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream
These are a lipstick that apply more like a lip balm, they're not sticky, quite pigmented and extremely soft! The formulation isn't thick as other lip creams I've tried before and they come in a whole range of different colours that are all vegan friendly!

Better Than Sex Mascara
After I decided to no longer support Tarte cosmetics, I was on a search for a new mascara after I finished the Tarte one and came across this and I could not be happier, it's the best mascara I've ever used (vegan or non-vegan) and I love how it makes my lashes look! It gives them incredible length and volume and although I wouldn't say it's better than sex, it's pretty damn close! I had a little fall out at the start but nothing that bothered me and that's disappeared since using it a couple times. You should definitely pick one up, you won't be disappointed especially if you've given up on a nice vegan mascara!

Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush
These come in 3 different beautiful shades, they are a baked blush that come with 3 different colours that you can use individually or swirl all together to create one gorgeous glowing shade! They're buildable and lovely.

Melted Lipsticks
These are a new favourite of mine too, I've had them around 2 months and love the formulation and wear! They are a liquid lipstick/stain/gloss hybrid and I don't think I have anything else similar in my collection, they apply SO smooth and evenly, they are extremely pigmented and have a really long staying power (hence the stain!) they also smell incredible and the packaging is super cute. I'll be doing a full review of the 4 shades I have this week with swatches!

And that's it! They have a list of their vegan products in their FAQ here or I find it best to personally email them as they don't update the list often with new products!

As always, thank you for reading! XO

Innoxa - Thirsty Skin Day And Night Creme

Hello friends! I thought seeing as it is winter here in Australia that I would share a product that has absolutely been saving my skin recently which is this Day And Night Creme by Innoxa!

I stumbled across Innoxa one day in Priceline and was automatically drawn to their products (who could resist their packaging?!) and after seeing they have quite a range of vegan products that you can find here here - I decided to try a few things out.

The Day And Night Creme is described as a fast absorbing creme that is suppose to replenish the skin, hydration levels and leave the skin visibly smooth and after using this for over a month, I can without a doubt say that is exactly what it does.

The creme is quite thick without feeling thick or sticky and lives up to the claims of absorbing quick. My skin has felt incredibly moisturized and noticeably more smooth since I started using it. I apply it every single night before bed and a tiny amount a few mornings each week (only when I want an extra boost!) it can be used underneath makeup and I've had no issues with it.

It's relatively affordable ($30!) and a little goes a long way and there's even a sensitive version of this.

It's definitely become a staple in my skincare routine and hopefully you'll love it too!

NCLA - Review & Swatches!

I finally was able to pick up a few shades of nail polish from NCLA - a brand I've been super interested in and have been on my wish list for so long!

I picked up 3 shades in Don't Call Me Peachy, Like Totally Valley Girl & Eight Days A Week and have been impressed with all of them. They're incredibly pigmented (I applied 1 and a half coats to make sure they were opaque) and they are all true to colour. They apply smooth and evenly and I find they last (on me) around 3 days without chipping if I don't use a top coat and 5 days when I use one (working in childcare and constantly doing crafts doesn't help the chipping situation though!)

I really love the nail polishes and I'm excited to try more shades and finishes.

I purchased these in Australia from here which constantly has deals and discounts so definitely keep an eye on them to see if you can grab a couple shades for cheap!

As always, thank you for reading! xo

FOTD ft Wet 'n' Wild & Too Faced

Today I'm testing out a lot of new (to me) Wet 'n' Wild' products in this look including their Coverall Cream Foundation in the shade "Fair" which I applied with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, their colour icon blush in the shade "heather silk" and their Mega Volume Mascara! I used the "Walking On Eggshells" trio also from Wet 'n' Wild that I have loved for a very long time and for my lips I applied the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in the shade "Melted Peony" which is such a beautiful soft pink. That's all of it as well!

Super easy, quick and simple and excluding the lipstick, incredibly cheap too. You can pick up Wet 'n' Wild in Australia from websites such as Beautyjoint, I buy Real Techniques from Iherb and Too Faced from Ebay, American forwarding websites or websites such as Beauty Bay, Tarazz or Mecca Comsetica. (I usually wait for sales on those websites as they are quite expensive compared to American pricing!)

As always, thanks for reading! XO
